Many of our promotional images are made possible by the tireless efforts of Matt and his crew, check out our gallery to see many of our promo shoots. Disenchanted are our preferred photographers for anything marketing. Though we do have images supplied by other photographers for our online catalogues and post 2009 advertsing material.

Matt is married with three gorgeous (and photogenic) children whilst working on his photography part-time. he has been very fortunate to have visited a lot of Australia due to his 'day job' & has shared these with his family, but he now calls Melbourne home.

He has been interested in photography for the majority of his life, but only got serious about it in 2004 and purchased his first camera... a Canon 30D & since then his camera has never been too far from reach.

Disenchanted Photography is all about doing things 'outside of the box' and while this phrase gets thrown around a lot in the photographic community, he endeavours to make every image not only slightly bizarre & unique but interesting & thought provoking as well. Regardless of whether his shooting a wedding, commercial fashion or products, portraits, bands, animals, family or landscapes his always looking for that special shot that will make my photos stand apart from the crowd.

he top scoring student in the Arts in for VCE at her school. Shauna was presented with the Principal’s award in year 12 her and work was purchased for display throughout the school. 

Shauna has an impressive folio and does all sorts of commissions (excluding pornographic or tacky), from headshots to family portraits, however she believes that her best work is achieved with portraiture. 

Why Photography as a Medium:

Photography is the way to express all the strange ideas that appear inside her mind. Shauna finds photography a satisfying medium due to the speed results are achieved; even getting old school film developed is faster than working on an oil painting. Shauna loves that photography is a mix of technicality and creativity and she find that it keeps her grounded, it’s a good metaphor for the way her mind works.

 

Shauna draws inspiration from all sorts of things, past experiences, other people’s experiences, certain colour, a painting, someone else’s artwork – never with the intention to ‘copy’ work, she draws from elements I find intriguing and puts her own twist on it. She would not be satisfied in doing what everyone else was doing.

Constantly spurred on by seeing what other people have created, makes Shauna push herself to create better work. Practice and working with other talents like my models and make-up artists really help, as does the feedback and support received from teachers and friends. Her parents have also been very supportive, they purchased her first camera, drive her to photoshoots where they can, help with props and provide food to feed everyone on the shoot!

A lot better! Shauna is always learning to better her skills hopes to never be self-satisfied enough to think she cannot learn any more.

To be involved in more publications, increase commissioned work and to improve upon her standards of work.
